Baobao, Elaine first “Reiki dog”

One of Elaine’s first “clients” was her dog, a sweet mini dachshund called Baobao, when she first started her Reiki journey years ago.

Baobao was paralyzed from the waist down when she was 5 years old due to herniated discs in the back. She was an amazing being, full of fight and had an indomitable spirit. She proved just that when she got up 5 months later and walked, much to her amazement of her vet, though she never fully recovered to walk the same again, and got tired very easily during her walks after.

Baobao loved her Reiki treatments, and would lay still for long periods of time to receive Reiki. During her walks, she would stop and rest when her legs got too tired, and 5 to 10 minutes of Reiki would get her rearing to go again. As she aged, and into the last years of her life, Reiki was instrumental in keeping her overall energy up, calmed her down during stormy days (she hated thunder!), and never failed to lull her into a deep restful sleep.

How does Reiki help our pets?

Reiki is a gentle, safe. and non-invasive way of supporting our pets with their healing, be it emotional balancing for traumatized pets, physical healing after a surgery or injury, or to support a dying pet in its transition. It is a safe complement to traditional veterinary care, or any other alternative treatment that the pet may be on.

Book a Pet Reiki Session

Pet Reiki sessions are done at the client’s residence. The animal’s comfort is paramount, and the Reiki treatment may be done hands on or from a slight distance from the pet, whichever it is most comfortable with. Reiki sessions are typically 45 minutes long. In certain situations, the session may go up to an hour, if the pet is open and wants it, but in general, our pets need much lesser than us, as they are very open to receive and physically smaller.

Rates (exclude transport):

One session (up to 45 min)*: $100
or
One session (60 minutes)*: $130

*45 min is sufficient for most sessions; in certain cases, where the pet require and want Reiki for longer, we will do 1 hour sessions. Please aside an additional 30 min of your time for discussion and debrief.

Transport fees:

Transport fee of $30/$40/$50 per session is chargeable for house visits, depending on location. If you are located in the far north/south/west (e.g. Woodlands/Dover/Buona Vista/Jurong/Boon Lay/Bukit Timah) transport will be at $40 due to distance. House visits at Sentosa has a transport fee of $50, due to distance and toll.

The calendar below can be used as a reference for availability. However, do note that actual appointment time may be an hour earlier or later as the calendar is based on Elaine’s availability at the centre, and does not take into consideration travel time to client’s residence.

Learning Reiki for yourself and your pet

Nothing is more comforting than knowing that you can support your pet’s healing on your own, and as a cumulative therapy, giving Reiki to your pet regularly is very helpful in maintaining their health and general well-being. Learning Reiki for yourself can really benefit both your pet and yourself in the long-term.

Our pets are very affected by our energy; and they may take on a lot of our emotions and issues energetically, being so open and loving! Keeping yourself as balanced as you can around your pets therefore is an important factor not just for you, but for their overall well-being as well.
